Over the last few chapters, you have learned about two important brain regions:
In this chapter you started investigating what tires your PFC and how you can best recharge it. Now it's time to put that knowledge into practice.
Throughout this week, monitor how charged your PFC is.
Every day:
Experiment with reorganising your day so that activities that drain energy are followed by those that give you energy.
You identified some PFC draining activities. Now, consider arranging some of the recharge activities that you identified to help your PFC recover.
Practice ABC or another type of mindfulness for a few minutes every day. Aim for 10 minutes per day.
What differences do you notice in yourself about your reactions and behaviours, and your interactions with colleagues?
Write down your key learnings from this chapter and the activities that both drain and recharge your PFC. Take these to your learning group meeting to discuss. You will find a guide for this session along with the key takeaways from this chapter in the Resources page.
In the next chapter you will learn how you can adapt your behaviour and adjust the impact you have on others.
Take a break before the next chapter. We'll be ready for you when you are back.
